Level 1 Shakti Yoga

Level 1 Shakti Yoga is a gentle, all-inclusive practice designed to nurture your entire body from head to toe, inside and out, with the focus of becoming familiar with basic yoga poses and mastering them. You will also learn to connect to and deepen your breath which will aid in making an inward connection to your practice. Working with the breath helps lower blood pressure and brings a profound peace of mind.
Using gentle flowing movements you will prepare your body for classical Sun Salutations. The Sun Salutations are a powerful practice and with this class you will soon be able to do them comfortably and with ease. We will slowly and gently work towards strengthening the upper body and core, as well as increasing flexibility in the helps, knees and back.
Level 1 Shakti Yoga also offers time for social interaction at the end of class — a time to build friendships and support for a regular yoga practice.
This class is perfect for those just starting out, for anyone working towards building strength, or those simply looking for a gentle yoga practice with movement.
