To transition from our busy daily lives and busier minds to turning inward requires training and authentic Yogic practices to calm and balance the mind, nervous and energetic system.
The Guided Shakti Meditation practice is specifically designed to prepare our whole being for meditation by methodically calming, cleansing, strengthening and balancing your mind, nervous system and subtle energy channels. The guided practice gracefully leads you into a state of quiet awareness; providing an accessible way to infuse an authentic meditation practice into our daily lifestyle.
Guided Shakti Meditation Classes are one hour long and are offered throughout the week. They are designed to establish a regular meditation practice and help you develop a calm and focused mind within the community of fellow meditators under the direction and guidance of our experienced Shakti Meditation Guides.
The Guided Shakti Meditation classes include several types of meditation including moving meditation, sound meditation, and breath meditation. The culmination of these, along with other internal practices, lead you to the more subtle practice of awareness meditation.
To begin your Guided Shakti Meditation practice, you must first complete our 4 week Shakti Meditation Home Practice Course. Created to fit easily into busy schedules, the Shakti Meditation Program will empower you with tools to access the full potential of your mind, connect to your Spirit & create balance in your life.
In this 4 week course, you’ll be on the path to increase your Atma Shakti (the power of our Spirit). You’ll learn a succinct, powerful, authentic meditation practice you can fit into any schedule—from the comfort of your own home!
You will be provided with our Shakti Meditation Course booklet that includes everything that is covered in the lecture portion, as well as some further information.

Shakti Meditation was developed by Master Yogi Jnana Nanda Bharati (JNB) who hails from an ancient, unbroken spiritual lineage (Parampara) that can be traced back in India for over five thousand years. The vast knowledge of Yoga & Meditation has been passed down from teacher to student through the centuries and its authenticity preserved through rigorous training and complete dedication. As a young child, JNB met his Guru (Teacher) and began intense training in all the Vedic disciplines (Raja Yoga, Shri Vidya, Sanskrit, Jyotish, Tantra & others). Through the training with his Guru and other Himalayan masters his teacher sent him to, JNB has gained a profound knowledge of the traditional esoteric practices of yoga and meditation. He incorporated all this knowledge of the human body, nervous system, energetic system and mind to create a practice which can naturally and systematically lead the practitioner into meditation. Having achieved tremendous success in this world, JNB’s teachings lead us to a life to balance and harmony between our inner Self and the outside world.
As most of us are not able to dedicate many hours each day to spiritual study, Shakti Meditation is a way to infuse a daily spiritual practice and a way for us to calm and focus our minds and connect to our Spirit. The practice of Guided Shakti Meditation provides the pathway to increase our Atma Shakti (the power of our Spirit) and use our inner strength to live here in this world, while making it a better, more harmonious place.
