Christina holds a B.A. in Dance Studies from Marymount Manhattan College. During her time at MMC she was a member of the College Honors Program and Co-Director of the MMC Dance Department’s bi-annual Works in Progress performances.
She has danced internationally and performed work by Bill T. Jones, Lorna Ventura, Nacho Duato, Sidra Bell, among others while in college and for company intensive showcases. During her time in NYC, Christina was a freelance performance artist and taught dance at Ballet Academy East, along with other faculty from New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theater, among others.
Christina is a certified yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance. She was introduced to yoga in high school as a means to recover from a back injury. As a devoted practitioner of yoga, Christina went through New York Yoga’s 200 hour RYT training in order to teach yoga. Christina has since taught for yoga studios in Orange County as well as in private and corporate settings. She is passionate about providing students with the resources and tools to care for mind and body, while providing an encouraging and supportive environment. She is a firm believer on what work you put in on the mat, shapes life off the mat.
Happy to be residing in sunny SoCal, Christina enjoys teaching dance to children and adults at local studios. She also works for dance companies in LA on making dance performances more accessible to individuals with visual impairments through tactile experiences, movement workshops, and audio- described live performances.
