Kelly First discovered yoga in 1999 when her best friend convinced her to come along to a yoga class. It was love at first asana. Kelly moved back to CA from OR in 2011 and when she walked through the doors of Yoga Shakti, she knew she had found her home. It was there that she completed her 200 hour teacher training, followed by the Shakti mentorship program. Soon after, Kelly completed the Yoga Shakti 500 hour teacher program in 2016. She also holds a certificate in Yin Yoga teacher training. She has been teaching yoga since 2012. Her classes include vinyasa flow, gentle, yin and restorative.
Practicing yoga has changed Kelly’s life in more ways than she ever could have imagined. It helped her shed 60 pounds and feel healthier than she has ever felt. She takes the many lessons learned on the mat and applies them in her daily life, which is one of the many great gifts of yoga.
Kelly maintains a mediation practice in addition to a daily yoga asana practice of her own. When not on the mat, she can be found creating jewelry or playing her guitar.
