Sandhiya Ramaswamy, CAS MBA is an Ayurveda practitioner, educator and chef. She is a master teacher with the California College of Ayurveda. She is a professional member of the National Ayurveda Medical Association (NAMA) and the current chair of the membership committee of the National Council on Ayurveda Education (NCAE).
Born and having lived in India, she has had a lifelong and intimate connection with Yoga and Ayurveda. It is through Ayurveda that Sandhiya found relief for her chronic asthma, which led her to the complete study of this powerful system of medicine. Yoga and meditation, along with Ayurveda self-care rituals form an important part of her daily routine.
Sandhiya has studied Yoga with many teachers, including Johnny Kest of the Center for Yoga in Michigan and Ganga White and Tracey Rich of the White Lotus Foundation in California. She received her Thai Yoga training from Saul David Raye.
Prior to embracing the healing arts and sciences as a full-time vocation, Sandhiya spent 15 years in the corporate world. This experience gives her a unique perspective and understanding of the daily work-life-family stressors that most people face and to be able to provide practical and effective solutions to bring balance to one’s health and life.
