Deposit & Registration
Yoga Shakti offers intimate, small group trainings that often sell out; space is limited and we recommend that you secure your spot as soon as possible.
We require a non-refundable deposit to register for one of our Teacher Training Programs and secure your spot.
For our 200 Hr and 500 hr Training Programs, the required, non-refundable deposit is $500.
For our Prenatal Program, the required, non-refundable deposit is $400.
Full payment must be received prior to the start of the program unless a payment plan has been established

Payment plans must be established prior to the start of the program. All payment plans must be set up on a weekly or monthly basis through automated charges to a credit or debit card. A $75 processing fee will apply to all payment plans 3 months or less in duration; a $150 processing fee will apply to all payment plans over 3 months in duration.
The tuition must be paid in full prior to receiving the Yoga Shakti Teacher Training Certificate.
A $25 returned check fee will be assessed for any returned check or declined credit or debit card transaction.
In the event that circumstances arise which prevent you from completing the program, we recommend that you complete your training with a future program. We will assist you in the completion of all the requirements, so that you may graduate and receive your certification (please see below for details of the requirements).
In the event that an enrollment is cancelled at least 45 days prior to the start of the program, any tuition paid above the non-refundable deposit will be refunded. For cancellations made after 45 days prior to the start of the program, the non-refundable deposit is forfeited and the remaining balance may be transferred to a future Teacher Training Program. No cash refunds will be issued. No refunds or credits are available for cancellation within two weeks (14 days) prior to the start date of the teacher training course; the tuition may, however, be transferred to a future program or to another student with a $100 processing fee. Yoga Shakti reserves the right to modify this policy without prior notice, at its sole discretion as deemed necessary.
Yoga Shakti believes in upholding a high standard of integrity in graduating our Teacher Training students. We strive to offer the highest level of training and request that you approach the programs with passion and commitment.
To acquire a Yoga Shakti Teacher Training Certificate, each student must have:
Completed all required hours of the training
Passed the written and practicum exams with a grade of B (80%) or higher
Demonstrated competence in the areas covered in the respective training, including but not limited to teaching ability, class sequence development, professionalism, knowledge of anatomy & physiology, appropriate verbal and physical (500 hr only) adjustments, knowledge of modifications and injury prevention, philosophy and knowledge of the yogic lifestyle and a proper internal attitude
Completed all required program homework and reading from the Teacher Training manual
Paid tuition in full
If a student is not able to complete all the requirements by the graduation date, we will continue to work with them as appropriate and assist them in completing the program. Please note, depending on the kind of time and training required for the completion of the program, additional fees may apply.
Yoga Alliance Registration
For graduates of our 200 hr and 500 hr Teacher Training Programs follow the steps below to register with the Yoga Alliance:
Visit https://www.yogaalliance.org/AccountSetup (make live link) and set up your account
- Go through the registration process and pay the fees
- Upload your graduation Certificate
- Yoga Alliance will contact us to confirm your certification, we will confirm and you will be all set!
For graduates of our Prenatal Teacher Training program follow the steps below:
- You must have completed a 200-hour training program with a Registered 200-Hour Yoga School (RYS200)
- Teach at least 30 hours of prenatal yoga AFTER completion of your prenatal yoga certification program
- Once you have taught 30 hours of prenatal yoga, you can submit your Yoga Shakti Prenatal Yoga Teacher Certificate and application with registration fees to Yoga Alliance
- Upload your graduation Certificate
Yoga Alliance will contact us to confirm your certification, we will confirm and you will be all set!
Please note, Yoga Alliance is a separate organization from Yoga Shakti. To be a continued member and maintain your registration status with them, you must pay their yearly fees.
The Yoga Shakti Teacher Training Programs are designed as an experiential study and immersion following the oral tradition of the ancient yogis. It is imperative that you are present for each and every hour of the training. Tardiness, absenteeism and early departures may jeopardize your graduation and certification status. Respect your study by fully dedicating your time, your energy and your mental focus to the program.
Make-up Policies for Missed Hours
We understand that schedule conflicts, illness and other unforeseen circumstances may arise during the course of the training. We ask that you do your best to attend the training in its entirety and make every effort possible to minimize any missed hours. When that isn’t possible, please notify us in advance when you have to miss a portion by sending an email to your lead teacher. We will schedule make-up sessions to ensure you are caught up with both the material and hours missed.
For any missed training hours, you will need to set up a make-up session to review the missed material. Make up sessions are set up in a private or semi-private lesson format and the rate is $65 per person, per hour.
Scheduling make-ups takes a lot of time and coordination. If you are not able to make it to a scheduled make-up session, you must notify us by email to your lead teacher at least 72 hours prior to your make up time. If we do not receive a minimum of 72 hours advance notice of your cancellation of the make-up, you will be charged in full.
If you have missed large sections of the training, you may be required to make those up with a future training. There will be a $100 one-time fee to transfer to a future Teacher Training program. Due to the content heavy nature of the Yoga Philosophy and Ayurveda courses, private make-ups are not possible. You must make up these courses with a future training. There will be a $25 one-time fee per course to make up the Ayurveda and/or Philosophy courses with a future training program. The same $25 fee will apply for any full weekend missed and made up in its entirety with another training program.
We will do our best to accommodate each student’s unique circumstances on a case by case basis while maintaining the integrity of the training. Please note, participation in outside classes, workshops or programs cannot be applied to any missed hours. Make-ups must be completed with an approved Yoga Shakti Teacher Training teacher following the exact content missed.
$25 Fee per course to make up either the Ayurveda and/or Philosophy courses with another Teacher Training Program. Also fee per full weekend missed that is made up in its entirety with another training program.
$50 Processing fee to either transfer your Teacher Training Tuition to another student or to a future program, prior to the start of the program.
$65 Hourly rate for Teacher Training Make-ups
$75 Teacher Training Payments fee for payment plans in duration of 3 months or less
$100 One-time fee to quit your current Teacher Training Program and transfer into a future program (at the same point of the training that you stopped the current program)
$150 Teacher Training Payments fee for payment plans in duration of 4 months or more
